No doubt if you are here you are curious about journalling. Are you here because its cool and popular or are you genuinely intrigued by the idea of documenting your life, decluttering your mind or even for mental health ? No matter your reason , I'm glad you're here and hopefully I can help you to dissect all the complication that surrounds it.
For many years I have been encouraging anyone who would listen to journal. Documenting our lives, our experiences and our challenges can be one of the best motivational tools, a way to learn more about ourselves and the path our lives are taking, a written document in our own words of our journey into the future, a place where we get to loose ourselves in the adventure , our own story , the epic adventure that is totally unique to each and every one of us.

However, no matter how excited or enthusiastic I may be in discussing not only my hobby but my passion for journalling and how it has helped me to unwind and clear through the process of overthinking , a number of people have been inspired to begin the habit for themselves, however after a few days maybe even a few weeks , they fade away and loose their motivation to continue with the habit.
Unfortunately , my passion, my excitement is not quite enough to carry them through to the long haul journey of making this a daily requirement for their lives, the blank pages that stare back at them is more than daunting, the questions begin to set in and the overwhelm takes over. What am I supposed to write? how long should I write for ? Should I only write for personal life? What kind of journal should I choose? How do I use prompts?

The answer to these and many more will be answered in the coming weeks as we explore the many questions, answers and queries that prevent us from enjoying the process of journalling. The truth is that there is no right or wrong way to journal, journalling is a very personal adventure. You get to choose how to do it , however if you follow along with this mini series of blog posts it may answer some of your own questions and help you to understand the benefits of journalling and the enjoyment that you can have in taking time to yourself to write about your challenges and your successes in a way that no one else can.
Please comment below if there are any questions that you would like answered in the coming posts.
